FISH OUT OF WATER


During my senior year at the University of Washington, I was accepted to be part of the Animation Capstone Production Team. As the "Look and Feel" lead, my team and I research and made technical tests to figure out the aesthetic and style that best fits our short film. Among the multiple groups I was involved with, I was also in charge of creating the movie poster for our film, "Fish Out of Water". 

"Fish Out of Water" is based in the 1960s. Through my research, I found that the 1960s was known for its color blocking, geometric shapes, minimalism, and earth tone color palette. I wanted my design to reflect those elements from the 60s. I worked with Autodesk Maya to render out the various layers (background paper stacks to the character in the foreground) and composited the layers in Adobe Illustrator.
